TanDeck Performance Marine Dock Board is highly-durable, low-maintenance marine decking that has natural wood-like aesthetics. This resilient marine board is engineered for residential boat docks, marinas and light commercial applications. Ideal for piers, waterfront properties and structures, it allows you to enjoy your investment without spending your free time maintaining it.
Composites are made from a mix of plastic and wood flour, which can absorb moisture. PVC decking is not as tough as high density polyethylene (HDPE) and is limited to 16” spans. TanDeck is made from a blend of extremely tough recycled HDPE, strengthening agents, UV inhibitors and anti-static additives. It is excellent at absorbing impacts and has no wood or organic fibers that would make it susceptible to moisture that causes swelling, warping or splintering.

What is the difference between TanDeck, Composites and PVC Decking?
Composites are made from a mix of plastic and wood flour, which can absorb moisture. PVC decking is not as tough as high density polyethylene (HDPE) and is limited to 16” spans. How is TanDeck secured to the sub-structure?
It is recommended that TanDeck be face screwed using high-quality stainless steel composite deck screws that will last the life of the dock. No pre-drilling is required. Some hidden fastener systems can be used.
What profiles and lengths does TanDeck come in?
Available in both 5/4 x 6 and 2 x 6, in lengths up to 24’ and supported by a range of profiles for fascia, pile strips, posts and rails, etc. Check your local dealer for availability.
Will TanDeck get hot in direct sun?
Largely a function of color choice, heat absorbed on the surface of TanDeck is comparable to that of wood and other alternative decking products. Lighter colors absorb less heat and remain cooler to the touch than darker colors.
